The Mestrado Degree in Sociology is a broad-band course to follow on from the 1st cycle of studies in the same area, providing the acquisition of research skills and critical analysis, a deepening of knowledge and the acquisition of essential qualifications for the exercise of future professional activity within public or private organizations.
The comprehensiveness of the curricular contents enables future Mestrado Degrees to adapt to different work contexts, both oriented towards a more interventive and analytical practice aimed at problem solving, and towards domains linked to research and systematization of information necessary for the preparation of policies, the development of projects and the decision-making process.
Deepening of theoretical, methodological and analytical skills in the field of Sociology necessary for the systematization of information, aiming at the understanding of social processes and social problems of contemporary societies and the performance in various professional contexts.
Qualification of the students for the initiation to scientific research and development of research and social intervention projects in the scope of the final work, in articulation with the research centers of ISCSP.
Scientific preparation for the continuity of advanced training in Doutoramento Degree courses.
