The Doutoramento Degree in Gender Studies (DEG) is an inter-university, interdisciplinary program that benefits from the theoretical and empirical heritage of gender, feminist and women's studies. The DEG is designed for students from a variety of backgrounds, providing excellent theoretical and methodological training that prepares them for research, publication, teaching, professional and social intervention in gender issues, both inside and outside academia.
Classes will take place in Lisbon, rotating at ISCSP-ULisboa, at NOVA FCSH and at and NOVA School of Law.
To provide solid advanced training - theoretical, epistemological and methodological -, preparing researchers for the production and dissemination of high quality knowledge in the innovative scientific area of Gender Studies;
To prepare professionals, senior staff and managers capable of analyzing, in a critical and reflective way, themes related to gender issues and to intervene on them in the most different sectors and social and political activities;
To contribute to the affirmation of Gender Studies as an autonomous scientific area of research and advanced training.
