The Master in Informatics Teaching, a course in the area of initial teacher training, is a professionalizing master's degree for teaching in the 3rd cycle of basic education and secondary education. It integrates the training components in the area of teaching, general educational training, didactic training and initiation into professional practice, with supervised pedagogical practice in basic or secondary schools and culminates in the completion of a report presented in public exams.
The Master in Informatics Teaching aims to provide general training and professional qualification for teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and in Secondary Education in the area of Informatics, through the development of specific scientific and didactic skills and the carrying out of supervised pedagogical practice.
This course is an integral part of initial teacher training and qualifies for the professional practice of teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and in Secondary Education in the field of IT teaching, in accordance with the legal provisions in force (Decree-Law no. 79/2014, of May 14)
The Instituto de Educação participates in the teaching of this Master in Teaching together with the Faculdade de Ciências of the Universidade de Lisboa.
