The course requires 3 years (6 semesters), totaling 180 credit units (ECTS), and is organized in curricular units in a model of acquisition of vertical and horizontal skills. In the last year there is a one-semester internship in which the student is specifically oriented to the understanding and application of the knowledge necessary for the exercise of the profession of dental technician.
Objectives
This degree aims to prepare professionals to, in the laboratory, perform and repair all types of dental prostheses, using the products, materials, techniques and procedures, according to the prescriptions and indications of dentists, recover or improve function, comfort and aesthetics of patients.
Career prospects
Activities in the field of design, preparation, manufacture, modification and repair of dental prostheses, through the use of appropriate products, techniques and procedures in dental laboratories, dental clinics, hospitals.
