The degree in Law provides the necessary knowledge to exercise the legal professions. This four-year course comprises the teaching of the fundamental areas of law and innovative legal content. Students may choose the continuous assessment method, which includes plenary lectures and practical classes, in which subjects are studied in the context of subgroups of about thirty students, as well as the final assessment method, in which a final assessment test is held (written and/or oral).
This degree aims to provide its students with the necessary tools to approach, understand and deal with legal phenomena, in particular by applying normative solutions to concrete cases in everyday life. The body of compulsory course units guarantees a solid and complete common base, allowing students a general knowledge of the legal system, critical capacity to analyze legal solutions and conceptual rigor in the exposition of their argumentative reasoning. The optional curricular units complement this corpus of structuring knowledge, through the study of subjects that are auxiliary to basic training or that correspond to structuring didactic novelties in the updating and adaptation of legal knowledge.
