The PhD aims to cross three branches of knowledge – Philosophy, Human Sciences and Technologies – within an interdisciplinary relationship where the diversity of knowledge receives a unitary framework from ethical questioning. This inquiry will focus on democratic institutions and societal challenges posed by new technologies, with special emphasis on biotechnology in its human and environmental aspect.
